VS Yomiel (& Company)

On January 2023, I gave Friday Night Funkin' a chance. While I sucked at the game, I enjoyed the music and I made my own VB (voicebank) with my voice. As time passed, I've made other VBs for different OCs of mine. This page is to share all covers I've done so far. I'm new to FL Studio, which means I don't know what I'm doing.

I have a Youtube channel for these, but making videos is time-consuming and I do this by myself. And well... there might covers where I indulged myself and I'm too shy to share in more public sites.

It's Complicated (V2) (Glitchy Red vs Yomiel)

Last cover of this year. A bit of my first steps towards 'fucking around and find out' with FL Studio. Nothing complicated, just some simple stuff done out of curiosity. Basically, I like both versions of this song and I couldn't decide which one to choose for a cover. So then I thought what if I just do both? And this was made :] It was fun to experiment around for a bit, I have to try doing this again with other covers in the future.

Months ago I said I'd cover the whole mod, and here it is. It took me like 6 months to get the whole thing done before my birthday. It was such a tiring experience, but I also learned a lot! That said, I don't think I'll try to do something like this ever again. Listening to some of these now, I find parts where I think I could improve it, but it's done lol. I'll definitely use Void in the future though, I like how his voice sounds.

If I had a nickel for every time I made a cover of Better Times, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. The Hypno's Lullaby mod has many great voices, and I've been toying with them these last few weeks. This is how I found out that Frozen Red has a soft voice, and that's the most beautiful sound I've ever heard. It's so angelic... I really loved it. I don't get tired of listening to him, for real.

This one started as a joke: what if I made Glitchy Red, edgy loner to the max, sing a cutesy song? Needless to say, I ended up liking the result a lot. So here we are. I really need to use this guy more, he has a wonderful voice despite the effects.

This cover was actually a test.

That's a thing I like to do with new voices I obtain: test them with songs that aren't their own to check how they sound, their range, etc. It helps me understand them better, and Lectro's chromatic scale is a very nicely done one (but so loud!). This was also made to take a break from working on the same songs for months (VS Void, hence why he's here). And well.... I always wanted to cover this song :v

Another solo cover, this one was so much fun to do. It was also nice to go back to my roots for a bit and draw my sona in a more spooky light. Just in time for Halloween! (Ignore the fact the video was uploaded on September, shhhh).

The first of a few solo songs I covered, as well as the song I used to test for the first time my audio-only videos: as in, covers that have little editing and mostly focus on the audio. There are a handful of songs I got that I never recorded but I still want to upload on Youtube, so I thought this would be a good alternative! And also because my usual format is time-consuming, and recordings + FLPs take a lot of space on my computer.

If I understood correctly, in the original song it's BF battling against an older, broken version of himself called FLAnimal (sick name!). So I thought it'd be a smart idea if I used an older chromatic scale of my sona to battle against the one I currently use heehoo :]

More Oleander, but this time with Rosemary! A much nicer duo. Admittedly, Rosemary is difficult to use as well due to her voice having this... nasally sound? I'm not sure how to describe it. That said, I'm glad that this came out so nicely. I adore putting these two together, and making them sing together is such a cute bonus to hear ♡

Marigold and Oleander's chromatic are a bit tough to use—mostly volume issues (I am still not that good at making new voices, it's trickier that you might expect). That said, it's very satisfying when I find a song where they both sound good. And they sound great together, despite how different their voices are! Character-wise, I like that. Very fitting for their background.

Not much to say about this one! This is where I learned how customizable FL Studio can be though. And how much it took me to edit the video for this cover. But I like how the final product looks so it's all good :]

This mod has so many good songs, I don't think I could ever cover the whole thing. But it'd be pretty impressive if I did!

When I told you I'd use him again, I meant it. He's just fun to work with, sounds so nice with almost everything. Many of 'em cover folk have a favorite VB and I might just found mine.

Absolutely flabbergasted when I saw that someone made a Wally chromatic. I've never opened FL Studio so fucking FAST holy shit. I love how he sounds.... I'll probably use him again, but don't expect him on my channel anytime soon.

Another mod with a great soundtrack. I might cover more songs from this one, I really liked them. I think my sona was made for these kinda chill songs lol.

Made as an April Fools' joke, this was the first time I made a cover of a non-FNF song. And it was a lot of fun, it made me remember my UTAU days. I always thought this song would be better as a duet, it just fits.

Week 4 is probably my second favorite from the base game. The music is cute and catchy, even if the visuals don't match the vibes. And hey, more new VBs! This time it's Rosemary and Oleander, two OCs I have talked about in the past. Fun fact, Oleander's voice is my voice pitched down!

[Roses] I've got a few people asking me to use Casette Girl pretty much since I started doing these. As well as a cover of Roses. Thus I mixed both requests (I'm smart).

[Thorns] The introduction of new VBs: Garder (guy heard on the right) and Tonais (lady heard on the right). A couple of deities from Colorful Company. They have the ability to fuse together, then called GardTon.

The cover of Thorns was made before Roses, actually. But since they're from the same week, I put them together.

My first mod song! The video for this one was my most viewed video for some time, which is what encouraged me to make more covers of mod songs. The version you're listening here is a remake version I made on April, the original one was made on January.

The first public cover. There are many songs from the original game I genuinely enjoy! This cover actually uses an old VB of my sona. After my 2nd cover, I made a new one that sounded better (imo). I might remake it in the future.
